A Tribute To Our Lunchroom Monday through Friday at 12:00 our lunchroom ladies, Mrs. Elizabeth McGee and Mrs. Melba Dunn have to face a crowd of starving students. Mrs. McGee and Mrs. Dunn have both been with the school for nine years and they prepare approximately 200 meals each day. Hieu is 5'11" tall and has black hair. He was born In Singon, Viet Nam. He says that he enjoys all his teachers and subjects• He says he en- Joys Algebra and Physics the most. Angelia Bradley - Grand Ole Opry singer, taking the placeof Minnie Pearl's hits: "Who Stole the Price Tag Off My Sunday Hat?" Gary Bradley - bubble gum tester in a bubble gum factory. Karen Potter - wins 1st place in hog calling contest at the Hooterville County Fair. Rhea Yarbrough - typist ma- kes discovery. Keeps hands beautiful and young looking. "Type the toe way•" David Maddox - runs hotel for blonde old maids -- ages 16 to 25. Applications always accepted. Gauls Grantham - the first real "Six Million Dollar Man." Walter lnabientte - cuts grass at the White House. Sonny Edmondson - cham- pion corn grower of 1999 in Jack, Alabama. Pat Willis - pitcher for the Cincinatti Reds. Craig Hutcheson - chaplin in the U.S. Army. Sonya W°°dham " champion race driver in the Talladega 500. Ricky Chambers - president of the National C.B. Associa- tion. Bill Miller -traffic cop in great metropolis of Svea, Flo- rida. Has 1 1/2 arrest to his credit in 11 years. Ricky Cook - thin man in Barnum and Bailey's Circus. Admission to all girls one yanky dime.., admission to all boys one dime. HappyDays Seniors have finally come to one of their happiest times of the year. It's near graduation and they are found getting their last minute things together. Along with being a senior goes the responsibility to learning how to file for your income tax returns• Mrs. Jones has start- ed her fourth period class off to a good start. She handed out the booklets and on the first day read the first two chap- ters to us. After she finished she asked her class to wake up and complete the questions on this chapter, which they knew nothing about. Well, now they are learning to fill out the forms, but have run into some problems like: those who don't know how to add are having to learn again• Well, if we live through this, it will be a mir- acle. We have quite a number of students to recognize for this past six weeks, our fifth and next to the last. Opp and Goshen. The following were first place victories.: Girls: 440 yard - Sheila Parker; Discuss - Jackie Cald- well; 880 yard - Jeanette Wade; Broad Jump - Sandra Cook, Tammy Walker, Lydia Lar- kins and Katrina Pound. Boys: 100 yard dash- Jef- fery Thrash; Discuss - John Anthony; Shot Put - John An- thony; 220 yard run - Eddie Thrash; 880 yard run - Chris Hutcbeson; Board Jump - Her- man Owens; 440 delay - Eddie Thrash, Jeffery Thrash, John Anthony, and Raymond Adams; Mile Relay - Chris Hutcheson, John Anthony, Harold Parker, Herman Owens. The total scores (boys and girls) were: 1st Florala with 118 1/2 points; 2rid - Stranghn with 46 points; 3rd -Opp with 32 points;. 4th - Goshen with 24 1/2 points. The track team will compete in Straughn on May 12th. BOURBON CREAM PIE 3/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup cornstarch 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup Bourbon 2-1/4 cups milk 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten I tablespoon butter 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 9-inch baked pie shell, cooled 1 (1 oz.) square semi- sweet chocolate, at room temperature 1 cup heavy cream, whipped Combine sugar, and salt in saucepan. ly stir in Bourbon and mixing until smooth. Bring boil over medium heat ring. Boil 1 minute, constantly. Remove fro heat. Stir half of hot mixture to egg yolks, mixing pour back into saucePa Bring back to boiling, Boil 1 minute longer move from heat. Stir in ter and vanilla and pour mediately into pie shell.
