Alligator Trot draws 240 participants The annual Alligator Trot was an awesome run around beautiful Lake Jackson, in Florala on June 18 with over 240 participants including a wheelchair category. The weather was perfect with a cool breeze coming off the lake. Runners ages ranged from 7 to 77, and came from Ala- bama, Florida, Louisiana, Georgia, West Virginia, Tennes- ' see, North Carolina, MississilJpi, Indiana and even 3 run- ners from California. A family of eight from DeFuniak Springs, FL ran togeth- er, and because there were so many entries over the age of 70 running, a new category was added - Great-Grandmas- teE! Race Director Karen Johnson would like to thank all of the volunteers and sponsors, without them, this race would not have happened.
