The church is located on the Wing hwy. by K. William Cook "I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord" Losing The Will To Fight {Part Three) As we continue to contemplate the thing that robs and weakens our spiritual strength and resolve to wage war against evil, we must also consider thoughtfully the question of God before us and give him an answer. "I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I swear unto your fathers; and I will never break my covenant with you: and you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall break down their altars. But you have not hearkened unto my voice: why have you done this?" ludges 2:2-3 God in essence is saying to his people: Why have you broken the covenant between us and gone after the gods and values of the heathen? Why have you considered me unfaithful and unrighteous to fulfill my promise? What have 1 done to you that you would treat me like this? It's not that the Lord Jehovah doesn't know the answer to those questions, the fact is, the children of Israel didn't know and you and I don't completely understand the reason why we are so easily drawn away from God. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?" leremiah 17:9 However, whether we understand it or not, breaking an agreement with God has life-threatening consequences. God places this question before us for one reason. It is the same reason a drug addict or an alcoholic cannot receive help until they face the problem We must all look within ourselves and into our own conscience, (face to face, heart to heart) and admit, "I have a problem:' There is something wrong in my life and its bigger and more powerful than I can control, "I need help!" It's 9nly when we reach this point and cry out to God with a true and pure heart that his help will come. Listen to me! When you can no longer cope with the drugs. When you no longer find pleasure in perverted sexual activities and abuse of your body. When life is coming against you and you have no power to face it or can find no sense of control. There is help in God. There is a God in heaven who cares for you and longs to take you into his arms, love you, and forgive all your sins and wrongdoings. In his greatest act of love Jesus came down from heaven to earth and lived as a man. He taught humanity how to' please God and live rightly. So, me people hated him for it and nailed him to an old rugged cross. But that too was in the plan of God. Jesus Christ willingly gave his life so that you and I could be forgiven and enjoy a right relationship with God. If you turn to him with all your heart, he will cleanse and forgive you of all sins and make you into a brand new person. The Lord wants us to take a look at ourselves and see our condition and realize our need for him. 0nly God can change a life. Only God can cleanse a heart. Only God can take a ruined life and make it brand new. He's a miracle-working God, and if you're willing, he can make a miracle out of you. God is faithful to lais covenant and is looking for people who are obedient to the kindness of his grace. Who grasp the dangers of compromise. Who realize the land is full of wickedness, unrighteousness, and haters of heaven that follow the god of this world and offer their minds, bodies, and lives to him. There can be no fellowship between the children of darkness and the children of light. Between Jesus Christ and Satan. Can you hear it? Can you hear the faint voice of Joshua crying from the past, saying, "If it seem evil unto you t serve Jehovah, choose you whom you will serve..." loshua 24:15 EMMANUEL APOSTOLIC CHURCH Emmanuel Apostolic Church, "]815 Ninth Street, Florala invites all to worship.
