THE FLORALA NEWS - WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 21, 2011 PAGE 7 The Florala Study'Club met on Wednesday, December 14, in the Ladies Clubhouse. Members enjoyed the beauti fully decorated dining area and the refreshments served. President Jo Anne Carpenter called the meeting to order. She asked for the reading of the minutes from the previous meeting. A report from the treasurer was given. Members were asked to give their donations to the Angel Tree project to the club treasurer so she in turn could write a check which'would be given to the chairman of the An- gel Tree project. Club members were happy to give to this worthy cause. Club officer nominations for next year are to be presented at the January meeting. Betty Hargrove was added to the nominating committee. President Carpenter was in charge of the program. She read a humorous story about a person who went Christmas shopping and had a very difficult time getting the store employees to understand exactly what gift he was hunting for. The Study Club will meet next month on January 11. Program leader will be Kim Williamson and hostess will be Pat Strickland.
